봄의 기운이 가득한 4월, 군포시에서는 20여년 전 송전탑이 세워진 산본 신도시의 삭막한 언덕에 시민의 손으로 직접 조성한 철쭉동산을 중심으로 군포 철쭉축제가 열립니다. 이는 전국에서 유일하게 철쭉을 주제로 열리는 축제로, 매년 4월~5월 초, 만개한 22만여 그루의 철쭉꽃을 감상할 수 있는 기회를 제공합니다.
